The Third Man (Criterion Blu-ray)
This title in particular has been the subject of a good deal of controversy on Elsewhere (among other sites), message boards, and email lists across the web. No one seems to talk about much aside from the "Grain Issue." Since the grain (or overabundance thereof) is the obvious elephant in the room, I'm going to address it before getting on to the additional content on display here, of which there is much to see and thoroughly enjoy. This is Drudge Report material, but this qualifies as...I was about to say "moderately exciting video footage" but the server is so slow over here that it's taken 12 minutes to load 18 seconds worth. I'm hereby relying on readers with faster connections to determine the value.

Lisa Loeb, who sang that "Stay" song, running around in a thong? That was moderately exciting--she does have a sweet ass.

That one where the two chickens break up a fight between two rabbits? That is an action-packed 30 seconds, yo.

The sneezing panda baby? It starts all quiet, then out of nowhere the baby goes, "Schnyerke!" like an air horn at a football game, and the mother jumps and is like, "Whoa! WTF!" then goes back to eating. Awesome!

Puking babies? Probably not.

How about the battle between the herd of buffalo and the lions and the crocodile in South Africa? About 5 or 10 buffalo walk along this watering hole, and about 5 lions look up and think, "Lunchtime!" and they chase them and knock down a calf, and this crocodile jumps out wanting in on the action, but while the lions are biting the calf's ass, about 50 buffalo catch up to the scene, and you know shit's gonna get real. They rush the lions, then one bull pushes the calf into the herd with his snout, then he turns back to the lions, and he's all, "This...is...CAKETOWN!" or something, and one lion gets hooked by a buffalo's horns and thrown in the air, and the lions run away like pussies. Craziness, man!

It turns out that at the top of the page where you leave comments, it says, "Loch Ness monstyer video". Another bulge in the water, in other words. Yeah, fuck that.

i saw that loch ness monster footage on fuckin' nbc and there was no report on where the fuck it came from or what it means or even a scientist to throw in an opinion. nbc news is going all viral on us now. but our current war is a byproduct of the media's mad skills.
